Monday 30th May. I had a quick trip across the water for a cast on the Gledfield beat and was delighted to land a nice 12lb salmon in the Gledfield pool at Jill’s point on a Kyley. It had a scrape on the flank and a small bit nipped out of it just behind the head by a seal.

I was strimming Cornhill river banks over the week but had a break and fished the Gledfield beat on Saturday morning May 28th and was pleased to land a 9lb salmon in the Gledfield pool.
The river was still big but dropping back approx 2ft7 inch. Still very few salmon being seen
