I went down and fished the Kyle again on Wednesday August 31st and landed a couple of Grilse both 5 lbs and lost another that was briefly on before throwing the hook. I fished it again on Friday 2nd September and had another really good day i landed 3 I had salmon of 7lbs & 7lbs and a 5 lb grilse, and lost another so all in all very pleased. Thanks to Mike Donnachie for netting two of the fish for me.
I have fished Kyle about 9 times only one full tide other tides 2 to 4 hours and landed 7 so very pleased, not many showing and those that are showing are grilse only saw one large summer salmon of approx 16lbs hopefully some of these will be coming into Kyle as we near the end of the season.As we have had some big fish on the river in September in the last few years.
