A couple of springers for Allan on Gledfield beat

I fished across the water on the Gledfield beat on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, On the Tuesday 17th. with the river running at 2ft 6 inch dropping back to 2ft 3 inch I was delighted to land a lovely shaped 9lb springer in the Pulpit, I was half way through playing the salmon when Calum arrived on the scene and safely netted it for me.

The following day Wednesday with the water level at 1ft 9 inch Allan landed another lovely deep shaped springer of approx 10lbs in the March pool it gave a very good account of its self before it was landed. I was going to enter them in Cornhill game book but Calum was not having that! The springers were in superb condition, the way its looking their is  a fair chance it’s the anglers that will be diseased this season.

Both fell to a one and a half inch Kyley, Thursday was blank other than that interestingly  i landed 3 sea trout kelts of approx 2lbs they tend to go down stream in small bunches.
