Mon 25th. We had a lift in the water level on the Monday due to heavy rain on the Sunday, We had a water height of approx 2ft 10 inch it then bumped up again to just over 3ft and was quite dirty and coloured for a while.
Tue 26th. The river level was down to 1ft 3inch probably a bit lower than it should be due to the ground being so dry, Three grilse were recorded in the book one at 5.5lbs, in the Deep run, a 4pounder in the Little falls, and another one at 4lb in the McKenzie pool.
Wed 27th. The water level dropping back quickly 9inch showing today, three fish caught today all from Raven pool at 11lbs.5lbs. & 4lbs. and another Grilse of 3lbs caught in Little falls pool.
Thur 28th. the river dropped back very quickly and by Saturday river was again showing just 2 inch.

Another week with absolutely nothing to report the river level again was extremely low the water level hovered around 1 inch on the water gauge with a couple of particularly hot bright days during the week.

Another week with absolutely nothing to report, Just simply more low water from 1 inch at the beginning of the week and ending the week with the gauge showing at Minus – half an inch.
Week beginning July 4th James & Suzie England.
Mon 4th. The river was running at 6 inches then a rise in mid afternoon put the river up to 1ft 2inch, James England landed a 7lb salmon in the Clump pool, and followed up with a 4lb grilse in the McKenzie pool.
Tue 5th. The water level today was 1ft, again mainly quiet not many showing
Wed 6th. Heavy rain overnight and in the early part of the morning put the river up to 2ft 11inch, It was pretty quiet with only a couple of fish seen
Thur 7th. The river was running at 1ft 3inch again very quiet just the odd fish showing.
Fri 8th. The water level today started out at 9 inches, James had to go south and gave me a shout to fish Cornhill on the Friday and Saturday Allan fished the morning and was pleased to land a 3lb grilse in the Little falls pool.
Sat 9th. The river is dropping back now and was running at 7.5 inches this morning, Allan Donaldson landed a 4lb grilse in the Lairds cast, and lost another grilse in the McKenzie stream.
