The Salmon fishing season oppened on January 11th, on the Wednesday the oppening day the river was running at 2ft 2 inch and over the rest of the week it ran steady basically at between 2ft 4 inch and 2ft dropping to 1ft 6 inch on the Saturday.
These steady good water levels were due to some periods of heavy rain and snow melt coming off the mountains and lower ground, we are getting some fresh snow each night falling on the ground above approx 800ft.
I wet a line on the Wednesday the usual tradition I gave it a couple of hours , with not a touch.
